NephroPlus Expands Digital Care Across 43 Clinics with Mobile App Launch
In celebration of World Kidney Day, NephroPlus, Asia’s largest dialysis network, has launched the NephroPlus Guest mobile App. This app is designed to help patients manage their treatment journeys seamlessly through an integrated digital healthcare experience.
The launch of Nephro Plus Guest mobile App highlights NephroPlus’s commitment to improving access to quality dialysis care in the Philippines. It also emphasizes the important role that technology and enhanced healthcare infrastructure can play in supporting the national healthcare system and addressing kidney health issues.
This App comes at a time when the
Philippine healthcare system is working to address the rising number of
patients with chronic kidney disease, projected to increase from around 40,000
in 2020 to nearly 150,000 by 2030. The gap between available facilities and
integrated patient support services highlights the urgent need for innovative
solutions to improve access to quality renal care.
NephroPlus Co-Founder, Kamal D.
Shah, whose dialysis journey began at just 21, discovered many problems related
to treatment quality and convenience. Determined to reshape the experience and
empower dialysis patients to lead long, normal lives, he co-founded NephroPlus
and committed to developing innovations like the Patient App as a valuable tool
that simplifies treatment management and supports a healthy lifestyle.
“We want all patients (whom we call
‘Guests’ at NephroPlus) to lead happy, productive, and fruitful lives. At
NephroPlus, we strive to give them the best possible experience when they come
for dialysis. We want them to get their lives back,” he shared.
First-of-its-Kind Comprehensive Dialysis Platform
The new mobile application is the
first-of-its-kind platform in the Philippines designed to deliver comprehensive
and holistic dialysis care through combined features of clinic care, learning hub, lifestyle support, and community network.
Under Clinic Care, patients can conveniently manage their dialysis
journey across NephroPlus Philippines’ nationwide clinics. It allows users to:
● Book hassle-free dialysis sessions and secure payments;
● Video consult with nephrologists; and
● Access laboratory results, prescriptions, and billing
information.
Recognizing the importance of nutrition
and lifestyle in dialysis care, the app’s Lifestyle
Support feature provides patients with:
● Free dietitian consultations;
● Unlimited lifetime access to one of the country’s
largest directories of dialysis-friendly recipes; and
● Vital signs monitoring to help track fluid intake and
overall health management.
The app empowers patients to help
better understand their health. Its Learning
Hub contains a plethora of educational resources about dialysis, as well as
interactive activities and contests for patients to join and win prizes.
Moreover, the Community Network allows
patients to connect with each other through forums where they can share
experiences and stories and provide support.
Together, these features enable
patients to take a more active role in managing their health in addition to
their clinical treatment.
Enabling Normal Lives Through Quality Dialysis Care
NephroPlus Philippines is
expanding its dialysis network to improve access to dialysis across the
country. By 2028, the company projects the establishment of 150 dialysis
clinics nationwide, further strengthening access to treatment for Filipino
patients living with kidney disease.
“NephroPlus is committed to improving the accessibility and quality of dialysis care in the Philippines,” said Rohit Signh, Group CEO. “Our Patient App is an essential extension of our clinics, guiding patients throughout their treatment journey. Through this innovation, we hope to serve more patients and help them live healthier lives as we continue with our mission of expanding our clinic network and investing in digital healthcare solutions.”
