The Jr. NBA / Jr. WNBA Philippines 2016 Tip- Off presented by Alaska was held on January 23, 2016 at Don Bosco Technical Institute, Makati City Philippines.  This is the 9th season of Jr. NBA / Jr. WNBA here in the country where kids - Boys and Girls age between 10-14 are encourage to  join into basketball sports.

The Jr. NBA / Jr. WNBA presented by Alaska have Four (4) stages or series of program.

1.  Basketball / Skills Clinics - usually happen at schools and communities
2.  Selection Camps - the regional selection camps
3.  National Training Camp - selected players that pass the regional selection camps will go to Manila to join other kids for the National Training Camp.
4.  NBA Experience - selected players at NTC will get the chance to fly abroad for the real NBA experience.

This is free registration  where kids will only show their talents and hone later on to enhance and develop the skills during this season.  The program will run from January 23 to April 24, 2016 and facilitated by the Coaching  Team of Jr. NBA /Jr. WNBA Philippines.

Early in the morning,   the gym's benches were occupied by basketball enthusiasts,  Coaches,  Youth,  Press and Media personalities to witness the Jr. NBA / Jr. WNBA Tip-off.

During the break,  Basketball Coaches were invited to be part of the intermission number prepared by Alaska.  Teams who gathered the most number of points from the free throw line. will received special gift packs.

The Regional Selection Camps will happen on the following dates and venues.

Baguio - February 20 – 21, 2016
Davao - February 27 – 28, 2016
Cebu - March 5 -6, 2016
Metro Manila - April 9 – 10), 2016

The Jr. NBA / Jr. WNBA team will select the top 50 boys and 24 girls from the Regional Selection Camps and will advance to the National Training Camp to be held on April 22-24, 2016 at Manila.
